THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL BY ANNE FRANK.

THE DIARY OF A YOUNG GIRL BY ANNE FRANK.
I read this book two or three months ago, and its a must read classic.
" Anne Frank, her parents, sister, another family, and an older gentleman were Jews in the Netherlands during the German occupation of World War II. These eight people hid in a secret alcove above a factory. Anne had a friend who listened to all her thoughts during the next two years. "Kitty" was her diary." -This is what i copied from a site for a general acquaintance with the the characters.
When i was reading the book i was visualizing all the scenes, like it was happening in front of me...actually it rarely happens with me.
She expressed a desire for immortality through her writing, though you sometimes wonder what she would have made of the kind of immortality she has achieved.
Lets get back on kitty, Anne's parents gave her 'Kitty' on her birthday. And she started writing in it very quickly, and took Kitty very seriously.  The boys who were in love with her were discussed and described, as well as her reactions. And those discussions were just awesome, ( I'm not able to find the right word for it, but lets settle with awesome).
In a few years they were not safe there, either. Finally, after Mr. Frank(Father of ANNE) was called to report to the Germans, they went into hiding in the "Secret Annexe". The Von Daan family joined them since the two men were business partners. They stayed in the "Secret Annexe" over two years before they were found and arrested by the Germans. Of the eight residents, only Mr. Frank survived the concentration camps.

The book speaks for itself. Really it is one of the most finest books i've read...
